I am a dual board-certified psychiatrist providing comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and adults for over a decade. My practice is grounded in a careful, evidence-based approach to evaluation and treatment planning, with an emphasis on diagnostic clarity and clinical precision.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals and families navigating ADHD, mood disorders, and parent-child relationship challenges. I am especially attuned to working with parents (often mothers) who are balancing their own ADHD or mental health needs alongside those of their children. I also work with behavioral and externalizing concerns, helping families recognize patterns in a nuanced and developmentally informed way.
I help patients reach the right diagnosis via thorough evaluations, thoughtfully ruling conditions in or out before arriving at a clear clinical understanding. This process allows treatment planning to be both evidence-based and highly individualized. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I integrate developmental, psychological, and relational factors to ensure that care is appropriately targeted and effective.
Care is individualized and inherently collaborative. I approach treatment as a partnership, bringing clinical expertise while relying on patients and families as experts in their own lived experience. Together, we develop thoughtful, evidence-based care plans that evolve over time and may include therapy, medication, and coordination with other providers.
In a healthcare environment that often prioritizes efficiency over understanding, my work is intentionally different. I strive to avoid unnecessary or excessive medication, integrate therapy into all aspects of care, and build long-term relationships with patients and families. The goal is not simply symptom relief, but meaningful, sustained improvement grounded in a clear understanding of the whole person.
I completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean, followed by residency training in general psychiatry at Tulane University. I then pursued fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Stanford University, where I served as Chief Fellow.
I currently remain involved in academic medicine at Stanford as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, where I teach Quality Improvement to current Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows and contribute to recruitment efforts. In addition, I am a Member-at-Large for the Northern California Regional Organization of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (NCROCAP), a chapter of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). I also have experience working within collaborative care models, and value close coordination with therapists and other providers as part of comprehensive, team-based treatment.
Outside of my clinical work, I value time spent reading thrillers, watching sitcoms, traveling with my family, and exploring new recipes.
