Hi! I'm Claire, a Licensed Educational Psychologist at Mind by Design. Over the past six years, I've worked as a school psychologist in both public and independent school settings, partnering with students, families, and educators to better understand each child's unique learning profile. I love helping families identify meaningful next steps for their child's success.
Educational Background:
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dominican University of California and my Master of Science in School Psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams across preschool through high school settings while conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations. My experience in both public and independent schools has given me an understanding of the educational systems families navigate and the importance of recommendations that are practical, individualized, and meaningful.
Professional Passion:
What drives my work is a genuine love for helping families find answers through the assessment process. I believe every child's profile tells a story worth understanding, and I take great care to make sure that story is communicated clearly in reports written for parents and educators, not for filing cabinets. Creating personalized, actionable recommendations that families can confidently use at home and school is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Beyond the Office:
When I'm not working, you'll find me curled up with a book, exploring a thrift store or coffee shop, baking, crafting, or decorating my home. I love to travel and am happiest when I'm spending time with my friends and family.
