"I believe every child has the potential to become a reader. I hope that the families I serve will feel empowered to support their learner on their journey to becoming a reader."
Every child deserves to feel confident about reading. As a parent, I know how heartbreaking it can be to watch your child struggle with something that seems to come so easily to others. But here's what I also know: every child has the potential to become a reader.
As a Literacy Specialist, I work with elementary-aged students with learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dysgraphia, and apraxia. I specialize in creating individualized, targeted reading interventions that meet each child exactly where they are and help them build the skills they need to succeed.
What sets my approach apart is that I'm not just a literacy specialist. I'm also a mom to children with learning differences. I understand firsthand that each child is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and learning style. I bring this perspective into every session and every collaboration with families, because I know that cookie-cutter approaches just don't work when it comes to supporting diverse learners.
I love collaborating with families to create interventions that make sense for your child and fit into your daily life. My goal is simple: I want students to develop genuine confidence in their ability to read. When kids believe in themselves as readers, everything changes.
I hold an Education Specialist Instruction Credential and am passionate about empowering families to support their learners on the journey to becoming readers. You know your child best, and together, we can create a path forward that celebrates their progress and honors their unique way of learning.
In my free time, I enjoy baking and taking family walks with our boxer. There's nothing better than spending quality time with the people (and pets!) I love most.
