Hello! I'm Kevin Scofield, an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). I believe meaningful change begins within a genuine and trusting relationship.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, approach life's challenges with curiosity and compassion, and reconnect with the strengths and wisdom that can become difficult to access during times of stress, uncertainty, or transition.
My work is grounded in humanistic, person-centered, multicultural, narrative, and attachment-based approaches. I strive to create an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are. I work alongside clients to explore the experiences, relationships, and stories that have shaped their understanding of themselves and the world around them.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, stress, and other personal challenges. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help clients develop stronger relationships, a deeper sense of self, and a more meaningful connection to their lives.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with neurodivergent children and adolescents, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and sensory processing differences. I also bring personal insight as the parent of a wonderful daughter with autism and PDA, experiences that have deepened my appreciation for neurodiversity, resilience, and the importance of personalized treatment.
Outside of therapy, I have a lifelong love of theatre and Shakespeare. You can also find me cheering on the San Jose Sharks, playing video games, or spending time with my family.
