Hello, I’m Kendra Holmes, a BCBA who believes behavior tells a story, and I help families and schools learn how to listen.

For the past 15 years, I’ve been proudly working in the behavior analysis, helping humans human a little better. I currently serve as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Mind by Design, a role I step into with equal parts heart, humor, and hustle.

What I love most about being part of the MBD team is surrounding myself with likeminded individuals who are deeply committed to making meaningful, lasting change in the lives of the people we serve.

My journey into behavior analysis began with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Francisco State University, where my interest in people, systems, and meaningful change first took shape. I went on to earn a Master’s in Education from Arizona State University, and in May 2017, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Since then, I’ve worn many hats and had the privilege of supporting countless families across a variety of settings, each experience shaping my approach and deepening my passion for this work. That journey ultimately led me to Mind by Design, where I now serve as a BCBA and continue doing the work I love.

At the core of my work is a deep commitment to creating inclusive environments rooted in respect, trust, and safety. I believe meaningful change happens when the whole child is seen, heard, and valued, not just their behaviors. Through trauma-informed, compassionate care, I collaborate with families and teams to develop practical, evidence-based strategies that can be thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I’m dedicated to walking alongside clients and their families, offering support, encouragement, and solutions that feel both empowering and achievable throughout their journey.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at the gym or a local coffee shop. These moments help me recharge, stay grounded, and practice what I preach, because balance isn’t optional; it’s essential. Whether you’re navigating behaviors at home, in the classroom, or both, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Reach out when you’re ready, and let’s create practical, positive change together.
