Hello! I'm Jodi, and I've dedicated the last 12 years to working in the special education field.

I’ve worked with a range of disabilities including; ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia and more. Currently, I serve as an Executive Function/Academic Coach at Mind by Design, a role I embrace with passion and dedication. What excites me about being part of the MBD team is the opportunity to share my passion for helping students build confidence in their learning. I’m also eager to collaborate with dedicated and passionate colleagues who will support me to continue growing as an educator. I'm committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

I embarked on my journey in special education with a bachelors in special education from Augsburg University, a foundational experience that equipped me with the knowledge and skills to pursue my career. My professional path began as a special education teacher and national public speaking for the Neurodiversity Alliance, evolving over time to my current position as EF/Academic Coach at Mind by Design.

At the heart of my work is a deep-seated passion for helping students unlock their belief in themselves and realize their full potential. I believe in meeting each student where they are and building on small successes that lead to meaningful, long-term growth.

Every day, I strive to uplift students and support them in taking ownership of their learning by building on their individual strengths. My goal is to help students feel seen, supported, and confident as they navigate their learning journey, and I'm constantly seeking new ways to guide and inspire our clients on their path to mental wellness.

When I'm not at work, you'll likely find me going on family adventures with my husband and two kids, working out, reading or watching basketball. These activities help me recharge and maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle, which I believe is crucial for anyone in a caregiving role.

  • Professional Achievements: I was part of a 6-week national tour with 5 other people through Eye to Eye, visiting 15 cities from Texas to Rhode Island to share our journeys with a learning difference and empower young students to embrace their own.

I'm here to support you on your path to mental health and wellness. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how we can work together, please don't hesitate to reach out.
