Child & Adolescent Therapy

I am a child, adolescent, and family therapist at Mind By Design. I provide services under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Melissa Sorci. I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, where I completed a specialization in Pediatric Behavioral Healthcare.

Methods & Approach

My work at Mind By Design focuses on supporting children, teens, and families navigating mood, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. In sessions, we explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills for lasting change.

I take a warm, structured, and goal-oriented approach, tailoring care to each client's developmental level and readiness. A big part of my work is helping clients build resilience, increase tolerance for discomfort, and move toward meaningful, values-driven lives.

Collaboration with families is also an important part of the process. Together, we reinforce skills outside of sessions, reduce unhelpful patterns, and support progress in everyday environments. Sessions are designed to feel engaging and developmentally appropriate so children and teens feel comfortable, understood, and motivated.

Cultural Sensitivity

My approach is grounded in respect for each individual's cultural background, identity, and lived experience. Treatment is adapted to align with each client's values and environment, so care feels collaborative, relevant, and effective.

Personal Interests

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time in nature, going on scenic drives, and being with my pets - Maxine the cat, Molly Mae the poodle, and Susana the turtle. I also enjoy board games, crafting, and movies.
